ZOË & KENTARO

After meeting at a Sayonara party in London and dating for a couple of years before Kentaro had to move back to Japan and not wanting to allow distance to be a reason for ending a relationship, Zoë's heart told her to follow. Even without speaking any Japanese and thrown into a new culture and society, she quickly adapted and began working in fashion. Kentaro returned to the family tailoring business, known for its classic British style, blending traditional craftsmanship and timeless quality.

More than 25 years later and married with two daughters, we often look back and think it`s amazing what you will do for LOVE…..

ZOË

FOUNDER

Born in England, Zoë`s Love for Japan started when she met her Japanese husband at an event in London. Soon after, graduating from university with a degree in Fashion & Textiles, she spontaneously decided to move to Japan for Love! Having lived in Tokyo now for more than 25years with her husband and two daughters, and a design career that spans from international corporate to local Japanese has given her deep insight into the Japanese culture and society. Enabling her to explain everything “quintessentially Japanese” from an international perspective. Zoë`s love for finding something unique or off the beaten track has led her to travel for inspiration, so when a career change came a few years back and a friend asked if she would guide someone that was visiting Tokyo, she jumped at the chance to show them all the charms and idiosyncrasies of the capital city and beyond. From exploring the hidden alleys of Tokyo’s backstreets, to the art of Kintsugi in Kyoto, Zoë caters to a client's personal needs and preferences, so that they feel like they are travelling with a friend or family member; making memories that last a lifetime. When not guiding, Zoë love`s to travel, be creative in any way she can and spend precious time with her family.

KENTARO

FOUNDER

Born and raised in Tokyo, Kentaro has spent many years working in the men's fashion industry, a career that took him to London for three years, where he met his wife, Zoë. A career change into the travel industry opened new opportunities and a new freedom to explore the rich culture and unique traditions that make Japan so fascinating. Guiding overseas clients through Tokyo’s most iconic areas and sharing insights into Japanese fashion and culture; including anime/otaku culture. He now guides in multiple locations outside of Tokyo, offering clients an authentic and well-rounded experience of Japan. When not exploring, you’ll usually find him on a bike—cycling is one of his favorite ways to relax, stay active, and see the world from a different perspective.
